ABL: Victory possible for Defenders in Morocco – Okpe

After tying the first-leg of their Africa Basketball League Elite 8 clash against holders AS Salé 69-69, Civil Defenders Small Forward, Victor Okpe believes they can improve and do even better in the reverse fixture.

Okpe missed two crucial free throws that could have secured a historic win for the Nigerian representatives, and he admits he needs to do more.
In a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comOkpe did however insists the team must improve overall and predicts that they can get a win in Salé, Morocco.
‘I had a big chance to win the game, and if I had just made my free throws it would have ended everything.
‘But, we can do better, and I know we will keep improving and if we keep improving, play slightly better than we did in Abuja, it doesn’t matter where we play we’ll beat them.’
