Adepoju urge Super Eagles players to forget FIFA rankings

Former Super Eagles player Mutiu Adepoju has urged the members of the senior national team to forget about the FIFA rankings and simply focus on the team’s preparation for crucial games, performance and fitness following the drop in ranking by a spot by the national team despite playing out a 1-1 draw with Brazil in the month of October.

Adepoju speaking in a chat with brila.net said the way the team play and focussing on winning games should be the Paramount thing in the mind of everyone in the team.
He added that the team is in the right direction on the premise of recent result posted by the senior national team.
“They should just be focussed on the preparation of their team and all that and not thinking about FIFA ranking or whatever. The way they play and the Fitness in their team is very important, they should just be focussed on it and the team is in the right direction.”
