Aghahowa reveals major Don’ts NPFL Players must avoid to Break into Super Eagles

Former Super Eagles forward Julius Aghahowa says Home based players must continue to put in the work and not be deterred by the lack of playing minutes in the senior team.

Aghahowa stressed that the invitation of players to the Super Eagles is a privilege and a recognition of a player’s qualities, but even if it doesn’t come with actual playing time.

He thus urged players based in the Country, who manage to get noticed by the national team selectors, to be professional and dedication whether they get to play for the team or not.

The former Bendel Insurance and Shakhtar Donetsk star was capped 32 times for Nigeria and helped the Eagles win Bronze at the 2002 African Nations Cup.

He stressed the need for NPFL to understand every player comes with a role in the national team whether they play or not and more often, where talent fails, it is the attitude that helps footballer get selected for matches.
