‘I’d rather stay here,’ Rangers Goalkeeper rules out move to Europe

Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Femi Thomas has insisted that the Enugu based club is better than some European sides and would rather stay in the local league than move abroad.

Femi told www.Cornerstonenewsng.comexclusively that a lot of Nigerian players have gone to Europe in the past and recently but have nothing to show for it.
There are so many players that went to Turkey to be precise and even Isreal and the truth is most of the clubs are not even paying them very well, some even owe them to the extent that some of the guys have to come back to Nigeria.”
Femi says appreciation should be given to the different state governments who are owners of football clubs in the country for sponsoring and still keeping the football clubs afloat.
”For now, I will say where I am in Rangers football club, they are doing better than some of those European sides,’ He concluded.
