Former Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa has urged the Super Eagles to beat the Terenga Lions of Senegal this Sunday in the two team’s last preparatory game before the commencement of the Africa cup of nations which starts in a week’s time.
Aghahowa speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the Super Eagles shouldn’t necessarily be judged by what the outcome of the match will be but that winning such games would also have a psychological boost on the team going to the AFCON.
“This kind of game, the result doesn’t count but at the end of the day, it’s something that you also look forward to because you’re giving the players confidence to go into the Nations cup knowing fully well that you have won and perfected your strategy and that’s the positive side of it.
But the negative side is if you lose, it might have a negative effects on the players.”
