Al Ahly of Egypt forward Junior Ajayi is disappointed he won’t be part of Nigeria’s squad to face Poland in Friday’s friendly encounter in Wroclaw after he failed to secure visa to travel for the game but has vowed to work hard to earn a place in the country’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

The former CS Sfaxien of Tunisia striker was hoping to use the friendly games to stake a claim for a place in the team ahead of Russia 2018 but now have only the Serbia friendly to show his quality to the coaches.

“Junior is very disappointed he won’t have the chance to play against Poland. He was really happy with his invitation and was keen to play for the Super Eagles for the first time,” a source close to the player revealed to Completesportsnigeria. com.

“The only consolation for him now is that he will be in London for the game against Serbia. It’s really tough as he won’t have enough time to prove himself to the coaches.
