Akpeyi set for Kaizer Chiefs exit after three years

Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi has announced his exit from Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs.

The experienced goalkeeper announced his departure from the club in a post via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.
“An era has come and gone and a new one will begin, God has to be faithful throughout this love for Kaizer Chiefs and Amakhosi Family knows no bound, every part makes me strong for the journey ahead,” Akpeyi said.
The former Warri Wolves man signed for the Amakhosi in 2019 after leaving Chuppa United.
He spent three & a half years at the club & appeared 69 times and he became the first choice for the club, following the injury to Itumeleng Khune.
The Super Eagles goalie will leave Kaizer Chiefs as a free agent when his contract ends on 30th June, 2022.
