Super Eagles and Arsenal midfielder, Alex Chuka Iwobi has described the bronze medal win of Nigeria at the AFCON last night in Egypt as a great achievement.
Nigeria secured her 8th AFCON bronze in the tournament’s history last night in Cairo with a 1-0 win over Tunisia, courtesy of an Odion Jude Ighalo goal in the 3rd minute of the game, which eventually decided the match in Nigeria’s favour.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Iwobi also added that he surely believes the team will do better next time, being a team that is very young, while also thanking Nigerians for their support.
“It’s a great achievement considering the quality of the 24 teams, especially as the team is very young, we are happy with the medal, but I believe we can do better next time”.
“Thanks to Nigerians for the support, we always want to them around, we feel the love that they show us and we will always do our best for them”.
