The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja branch ,has warned Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to revert to the old
land use charge ,car registration and filing cost of litigation or face massive protest.
The Chairman of the branch ,Mr.Adesina Ogunlana ,said the branch would embark on a street demonstration “walk the talk”
to protest the over 400 percent in land use charge and another 300 percent in car registration, without consulting the people.
Adesina lamented that, if the regime of tax were allowed to stay,Lagos state would be a living hell.
” Ambode should not hide under the claim of developing Lagos into mega city into mega -smart city to kill residents with pharaoric taxes.
Ambode should not let people regret voting him to power”.
