Amunike not ready to return to management yet

Former Taifas Stars and Super Eagles player Emmanuel Amunike has disclosed that he is not in a haste to return to management after leaving his role as the Chief coach of Tanzania.

Amunike, 48, parted ways with the TFF after crashing out of AFCON having qualified the Tanzania National team to their first AFCON campaign after a 39-year wait.

 

The former African footballer of the year said he wants to rest and stay with family for a while and don’t want to talk on possible places he wants to coach next.

 

Amunike told brila.net exclusively that, he wants to remain quite has to his coaching future after stepping down from the Taifas stars role as he was doing before Tanzania engagement,

 

However, he had achieved some of his dreams after playing and winning the Afcon as a player and also coached a team in Afcon, someday he hopes to also win the Afcon as a coach.

 

”Some of my dreams have been accomplished and hopefully, one day, if it pleases God we would also win it as a coach. ” Amunike said.

 

The former Barcelona forward resigned from his position as the chief coach of Tanzania national team after an unimpressive run at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
