Angola coach Goncalves blame defeat to Nigeria on red card

Coach of the Angola U17 national team Pedro Goncalves has blamed his side’s defeat to Nigeria on an early second-half red which saw his side play against Nigeria with 10 men for about 40minutes.

Goncalves, it was gathered by www.brila.net speaking after the game hailed his players for putting up a brave fight against Nigeria in the encounter and said it is not yet over as they are still very much on track to qualify from the group having won their first before losing to Nigeria.
“The story of the match, we conceded a penalty and yellow but the question is more about the yellow that eventually led to the red card.
“We believe in the next match, we will make things right and in the race for qualification, we believe we are still very much on track to qualify.”
Angola sit second behind Nigeria courtesy of a better head to head against Uganda and would hope to pick a result against host Tanzania to be sure of qualifying from the group.
