Anozie dedicates LBA award to teammates, Coaches and fans

FC Ifeanyiubah goalkeeper Chinedu Anozie has dedicate his LBA player of the month award to teammates and coaches of his team, while maintaining that his invitation into the National U-23 team won’t affect his team chances in the league.

Anozie has been present in the young FC Ifeayin Ubah side that have taken the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season by storm by sitting on top of NPFL Group B.

Anozie, who was was named LBA player of January, has seven clean sheets in nine appearances to his name so far this season.

“Firstly I will like to thank the League Bloggers Awards organizers for recognizing and rewarding me with the award of the best player in the NPFL for the month of January.”

“A lot of people contributed to it, the coaching crew led by Uche Okagbue and my teammates and club proprietor Dr Ifeanyi Ubah that all made it possible for me. So I’m dedicating the award to them. Without them there will be no me.

“And to my fans out there for believing in me and for supporting me in every areas of my career. I’m dedicating the award to them also,”

The goalkeeper who is expected to join up with the National U-23 team added that his invitation won’t be a set back to the title aspirations of the Anambra Warriors.

“I am happy to be invited to the national team and I believe it’s a result of hard work and dedication. My absence won’t be felt so much because I would always return to play league games, except when the national team is outside the country. I have other colleagues who I believe can do a good job between the sticks if I am not available.”

Anozie will be aiming for his eight clean sheet of the season as FC Ifeanyi Ubah takes on rejuvenated Akwa United in their next game in Uyo on Sunday.
