What Victor Moses must know about Maurizio Sarri, including His Superstitions… Thank Us Later!

Victor Moses may just be settling in to know Chelsea new Manager, Maurizio Sarri, but he might have to speedy things up if he hopes to succeed under the Italian like he did with his predecessor, Antonio Conte.

Sarri’s tactics are pretty straight forward if understood, but it sure demands a lot of stamina and apt concentration.

Last time around, the Nigeria international looked like a fish out of water, making very little impact as Arsenal fought till the death to wrap up a 6-5 penalty victory in a pre-season game.

Moses is not unfamiliar with the quality of work demanded at the Cobham training center and more on the pitch.

Chelsea have the winning mentality etched in their famous Badge, but more importantly it now resides in the club’s DNA and only the right amount of work on and off the pitch will guarantee any player; even Moses, a chance in the first team moving forward.

That said, there are also a few questions the Nigerian and his teammates, who don’t know. might need briefing on.

Far from eccentric personality of his predecessors; Conte and Jose Mourinho, Sarri also carries his idiosyncrasies.

The 59-year-old is as superstitious as Liverpool Boss, Jurgen Klopp – who keeps sitting positions until his team loses or his assistant who doesn’t get a hair cut until the team loses – Sarri’s fascination is with training details and hotel accommodation.

According to a former Empoli player, who enjoyed individual success with Sarri, the Italian Manager is “very superstitious”.

Massimo Maccarone was a striker, who found his scoring touch under the new Chelsea Boss and admits, ‘Sarri is special for strikers,’ h/t Matt Barlow [Daily Mail].

Maccarone recalls that If they lost away, he [Sarri] would never return to the same hotel. If they won, the details of the way they trained would remain the same. And They won more than they lost at Empoli.

‘He worked very hard with the defence and we played without fear. Even when we went to the big clubs we attacked them. He wasn’t scared.

‘His thing is to play always with one and two touches. He likes to see the ball moving fast. I think it is fun. You are very lucky to have him in England,’ Maccarone quipped.

So, these are just a few pointers for Victor Moses ahead of the new Premier League season, He can thank us later.
