Arinze Nwangwu happy to be back for Abia Warriors

Abia Warriors midfielder, Arinze Nwangwu says he’s happy to be back in the team and ready for action after he recovered to full fitness from the groin injury that long kept him out of action for Umuahia based team.

The former Heartland central midfielder who is known for hiscombative style of play and long range passes has not kicked a ball this season as a result of the injury he sustained from pre season.

While speaking on the team performance so far, Nwagwu believed said that the football has been under the new coach but team hasn’t had luck with results.

“We have been having some unfavorable results, but that is because we have been quite unlucky and not because we are not doing well. We have prepared very well for the season and I believe we will bounce back and even fight for a place among the top teams,”

Although, he is yet to play a game, the former El-Kanemi Warriors star was as unused substitute in the last two matches for the Henry Makinwa side.

“I have not played this season because I am just recuperating from an injury. I hope to get playing time soon and also help my team because I am fit now and ready to play,” he added.

Abia Warriors are placed 10th on the Group B table with just a win against Kada City FC, a loss to Go-Round FC and draw with Gombe United at home.
