Nelson was one of Emery’s current crop that stood out. He is hoping to force his way into the team this season following his loan spell at Hoffenheim last term.
The 19-year-old played 31 games for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring seven goals.
Gooners rate Nelson highly and they will hope that any new recruit doesn’t block his path to the first-team.
