Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta said the club is working hard to finalize a new contract for youngster Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka has less down 18 remaining on his current deal with the Gunners and the Gunners are making efforts to tie him to a new contract.
Saka who is eligible to play for Nigeria is enjoying a breakout season with the Gunners and has contributed 3 goals and 12 assists this season.
Speaking at Monday’s pre-match press conference via Zoom call ahead of Arsenal premier league meeting with Manchester City, Arteta said the new deal for the youngster will be announced at the appropriate time.
“We are trying, as a club, to finalize the deals that are more urgent and are a priority for us.
“The ones you are talking about [Bukayo and Auba] – they are both really important, not just for now but for the future of the club as well and if the club has something to announce, they will do it in the right moment.” He said.
