As an avid Chelsea fan, I’m tired of Mediocre Arsenal even after replacing Arsene Wenger with Unai Emery. Form is temporary, class is permanent, etc.,
But I want Arsenal’s form to come back. Arsenal have a great chance to erase the damage that the dispiriting loss to West Ham last week did and also to close the gap on conveniently-right-above-them-in-the-table Chelsea today.
This is historically not the type of chance recent vintage Arsenal have seized with both hands; I’d love it if today were to flip that dumb narrative right on its head.
I’d love for Arsenal to wake up, realize they can be a good team, and show the world that Arsenal aren’t what they have been in the last month.
Will it happen? I don’t know. But it can, and it should, and as always, I will be disappointed if it doesn’t.
