Goal scorer and national U23 team forward Taiwo Awoniyi has stated that the U23 team of Nigeria is blessed with enough quality to get the job done against South Africa with or without him.
Awoniyi speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said the team isn’t all about him or anyone else but about the collective effort of everyone.
He added that he is aware of what is expected of the team like other players too.
“The second game we won, I wouldn’t say my presence did a lot because we have good players even without me we can do something but then I have been in this situation before so I spoke with the boys and then we had to come out to give our best because the country expects that from us so going forward with or without me in the team everybody is important, we can win every game if we want to win if we work very hard.”
