Bayelsa Queens target Marquee signings for title defence

A month after clinching the Nigeria Women’s Football League title, Bayelsa Queens Head Coach Moses Aduku says plans are underway to launch a successful title defence next season.

Bayelsa sealed a fifth Women’ football League title with a 2-0 win over defending champions Nasarawa Amazons at the 2018 Super 4 in Lagos; ending a 12-year trophy drought.

In a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comAduku confirmed the team is still on break, but, revealed there are efforts to bring in two marquee signings in the off season.

‘Bayelsa Queens were a dominant side in the league until we went down, but I believe we’re back among the big sides again.

‘Although we’re still on holiday, surely plans for next season are ongoing and we are looking at one or two top players to be part of the team,’ he explained.
