Technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation Bitrus Bewerang has expressed confidence in the chances of Nigeria’s senior national team going all the way now that the team has reached the last four stage of the competition ahead of Sunday’s semi-final tie against Algeria.
Bewerang speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said there is nothing to fear again having gotten to the stage where you don’t avoid opponents but face whoever comes your way. He also urged Nigerians to support the team’s quest of winning the Africa cup of nations with two wins in two games all that is left to emerge as Africa champions.
“Algeria is a very strong side but I think the team also is improving gradually, the Eagles are now having confidence and so we should not be apprehensive anymore. So I want Nigerians to keep faith with this team, support the coach so that the team will continue to win until we finally pick the trophy.”
