Bling Bling!! Nigeria Finish Tops in Algiers with 11 Gold, 2 Silver

Nigeria claimed 11 gold and 2 Silver medals at the Algiers 2018 World Para Powerlifting Championships to finish top on the overall medals table.

On the final Day of hostilities in Algiers, Team Nigeria picked up four more gold and also set a new World Record in the 79kg class.

 

Omolayo Bose cleared 139.5kg etch her name in the history books of Powerlifting.

 

Other winners for Team Nigeria on Day 3 were: Innocent Nnamdi (72kg), Shade Oluwafemiayo (86kg) and Obiji Loveline (Over 86kg).

 

Meanwhile, the contingent of 13 Athletes will arrive in batches – the first left on Sunday and the second will leave Algeria on Monday.
