The office of the Accountant General of Nigeria, Ministry of Finance in Abuja is on fire.

The cause of the fire is not known yet. Firefighters, the Police, and other relevant emergency agencies are on the ground trying to put out the fire, but a police officer told Cornerstone news that there was nothing the police could do than to maintain peace and order in the area.

Our correspondent said property worth several millions of money and documents have been destroyed while others were still being razed by the fire .No casualty has been recovered . A staff Martins said :
” The damage would have been colossal if not for the lockdown .There would have been stampede and commotion. I don’t think there is any person still inside the office”
