Premier League outfit Chelsea has reportedly agreed on a deal in principle to sign RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
Chelsea decided to move quickly and activate the Germany international release clause which could expire in the matter of the days.
Chelsea will pay his club RB Leipzig £49.4m for his transfer and the player is expected to sign a four-year deal with the London club that will see him pocket £200,000 weekly.
The 24-year-old now join Hakim Ziyech, who joined from Ajax in a £33m deal and will team up with the club on July 1.
This season Werner has scored 31 goals scored in 40 games so far, taking his overall total for RB Leipzig to 92 in 154 appearances. For the German national side, he boasts a total of 11 goals in 29 games.
