Former Super Eagles forward Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe has hailed the recall of Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho ahead of September’s international friendly against Ukraine.
Chukwu-Ndukwe speaking in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the recall of Iheanacho will help the former junior international’s confidence and he believes he will grab this fresh opportunity to make a mark and convince the coach on why he should be fully back in the team.
“Calling him back I think it’s actually a good thing, it will make him sit up and know that as far as the Nigeria national team is concerned, you have to work hard to play.
And it will give confidence to him again that at least Nigeria has given him another chance and if he has a good game, it will help his season, so Iheanachor is good.”
