Okpanam community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State has laid curses on those behind the killing of three policemen in the town.
The deceased officers were killed in ambush by unknown gunmen, while rushing to respond to a distressed call last Sunday.
Traditional ruler of the community, the Ugoani of Okpanam, Mbanefo Michael Ogbolu led palace chiefs, youths, women and representatives of various quarters to the Ani (deity) where curses were placed on the perpetrators.
They decreed that the masterminds and their accomplices will never escape the wrath of the ancestors.
They further appealed to the ancestors to visit anyone who attempt destroy the potency of the curses with poisonous arrows.
Speaking, the Ugoani decried what he was abominable killing of the policemen.
The monarch expressed his heart felt sympathy to the families of the slain officers.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.
