Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers donates toys from his childhood to Toy Bank Almelo, the club revealed.
The toys go to families who are unable to buy toys due to financial difficulties. The top scorer of the Eredivisie went out on his own at Toy Bank Twente and donated his old games, books, and puzzles.
Dessers, says he’s delighted with the opportunity to help lift the spirits of children in this difficult period.
“I am happy that it is justified in this way and I hope it makes children happy.” He said.
He added, that the toy bank is for every child whose parents have to make ends meet with a minimum disposable income.
And he concluded that every child has the right to be a child and to play, regardless of the financial situation of his or her parents.
