Dilichukwu backs Falcons for World Cup Glory

Former chairperson of the Women’s Professional Football League, Dilichukwu Onyedinma has called on the Falcons to continue working hard as well as prayers to the Almighty God will help them succeed in France during the Women’s world cup this summer.

African champions Nigeria, Cameroon, and South Africa will represent Africa at the championship, with Nigeria the only African country to have taken part in all editions of the competition to date, and one of only seven countries worldwide with that special stripe.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Onyedinma also revealed that she remains comfortable in the abilities of Nigeria’s coach, Thomas Dennerby bringing out the best in his players as he is hardworking and committed

“The girls are doing well, doing what they are meant to do, gearing up, psyching themselves up”

“Am comfortable with the coach, he is committed and hardworking”.

“My prayer is that they should not stop what they have been doing especially training very hard and at the same time, praying”.

“I hope they keep doing that and I believe God will see them through”, she concluded.

The Super Falcons have played eight matches in 2019 as part of their preparations for the World Cup with four wins and four defeats, scoring 19 goals and conceding 12 times in the process.
