Eagles heading to the Soccer city on revenge mission – Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho has disclosed that the Super Eagles are looking forward to avenging their first leg 2-0 defeat to South Africa when both teams meet on Saturday in Johannesburg.

Despite losing 0-2 to Bafana Bafana in Uyo, the Super Eagles are close to qualifying for next year’s tournament in Cameroon after winning their last three matches in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

”The first leg is still fresh in our memories. We definitely want to take revenge for that defeat,” Iheanacho told reporters.
”We are much more better now than we were as of the time we played them in the first leg so I am confident we will get a win.”

Iheanacho also went on to back this current crop of Super Eagles players to go on and win laurels for Nigeria.

”As you can see,  we are getting better and better. We learned a whole lot from the World Cup,  and since then we are improving as a team and also individually.
”Must of us have new clubs,  play more often in our club and above all getting better in terms of team cohesion when we play for the National Team.
”It’s only a matter of time before we start winning trophies,” Iheanacho concluded.
