Eden Hazard agrees ‘Six year deal’ with Real Madrid

Chelsea superstar and the Belgium National team Captain Eden Hazard is closing on a move to Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Los Blancos have been heavily linked with a move for the Belgian playmaker over the past couple of seasons.

And the La Liga giants seem to be nearing a deal for their big long-term target, with Marca claiming the 28-year-old will pen a six-year deal in the ‘coming days’.

Additionally, it’s said Hazard, who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012, will travel to Madrid to look at homes in the near future.

Since losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer, it’s been a difficult season for the reigning European champions.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked after just four-and-a-half months in charge, before Santiago Solari suffered the same fate in March.

This led to the club reappointing Zinedine Zidane, who had won three Champions League titles in a row before leaving in May 2018.

The team, who are out of the La Liga race, Champions League and Spanish Cup, are in need of reinforcements as they still look to properly replace Ronaldo and close the gap on Barcelona again next term.

And they see Hazard, who’s scored 106 times in 341 matches for Chelsea, as the stardust needed to boost their fortunes.

The London club will currently be further hampered if their number 10 decides to leave as they will not be able to sign any players in the next two windows due to a FIFA transfer ban.
