Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has urged coach Gernot Rohr to take the first African Cup of Nations Group B match against Burundi very seriously.
Siasia in an exclusive chat with brila.net said, even though the group looks easier for Nigeria, the coach should not live in the world of assumption.
“He should try and get recent tapes on the Burundi team since they are the first match Nigeria will play at the AFCON competition on Saturday.
Although, the former Super Eagles forward did not see any obstacles stopping the super eagles from scaling the group stages.
”I don’t think the team as much problem going into the next round, but against Burundi, the coach should try and find out more about the Burundi team how to play them and defend,
“Going into a war you need to know your enemy in order to curb possible attacks, Siasia told brila.net.
The super eagles will kick starts the AFCON campaign on Saturday against the Burundi National team in Alexandria before taking on Madagascar and Guinea in the last game of the group stages.
