William Troost-Ekong has heaped plaudits on the home based who were given opportunities against Mexico.
Defender Sani Faisal, midfielder Chiamaka Madu and forwards Victor Mbaoma and Ishaq Rafiu were introduced in the second.
Ekong, who captained the Super Eagles, gave kudos to the lads for the confidence shown against an experienced side like Mexico.
“Everyone has been great here with good attitude and response at training,” the CB said after the game against El Tri.
“However, I must specially commend the team mates from the Nigeria Professional Football League, who have shown poise, pace and power and also commitment; they have no doubt raised the NPFL’s profile with their attitude and performance.”
The Eagles filed out for full training session at the Montclair State University pitch on Monday, ahead of the game against Ecuador.
Super Eagles trainer Jose Peseiro led the session and has all players available for selection, the Coach also praised the team’s usual enthusiasm, energy and sharpness.
