Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has pleaded with Nigerians to be calm and give the the new look Super Eagles team time to continue to get better as a team after a nervy start to the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin republic where the team won 2-1 against the Squirrels.
Ekpo speaking in a chat with brila.net congratulated the team for winning it opening qualifying match in the qualifying series and back the team to come good and fine in the run up to pick the ticket to Cameroon 2021.
“Firstly congratulations to the team and to Nigerians who watched it. As a young team, they almost put everyone of us under pressure but we knew they were going to turn things around.
“We should be patient with them even with the coach and see how it works out. They are all young upcoming stars.”
