ABIA DERBY – Head coach of Abia Warriors, Emmanuel Deutsch has highlihted why his side lost to Enyimba on Sunday.
Abia Warriors fell to their neighbors 2-1 at the Aba township stadium on Sunday and the two side are set to meet in the reverse fixtures on Sunday.
In form Austin Oladapo gave Enyimba the lead but Otop Eta Okon restored the parity in the 56th minute for Abia Warriors, before Stanley Dimgba again scored to hand the Enyimba all three points.
Deutsch however stated that his team lost because of lack of concentration, but admitted they learnt a valuable lesson.
“I think we played well on Sunday. For most parts of the match, we were in the match and made life extremely difficult for our opponents.
“However, we lost because of a lack of concentration in the midfield after we equalized.
We have learned a lot from today; remember some of our players are still young. I believe we will do better on Sunday,” Deutsch told NPFL.ng.
