By Mobolaji Adegoke

Oil Technology Conference(OTC) has announced a new energy transition pavilion on the exhibition floor at this year’s conference which holds from May 2 to 5, 2022 in Houston, Texas, USA.

Designed to showcase technological advancements in alternative energy sources and the solutions being developed to decarbonize, drive sustainability, and improve energy efficiency, the energy transition pavilion will be the go-to meeting place for conversation and dialogue around the energy transition.

As the energy industry works to deliver sustainable solutions and reduce carbon emissions, OTC continues to play a key role by facilitating knowledge-sharing, learning, and discussions around the technologies and experts that can deliver those low-carbon solutions.

OTC says it appreciates the support from this year’s presenting, tier one, and tier two sponsors who have distinguished themselves in the space for providing innovative and creative solutions that help eliminate, reduce, or offset emissions in the energy industry. From equipment to digital solutions and process improvements, these companies have demonstrated dedication and expertise in creating a low-carbon future.

Presenting and Tier One sponsors will also host special programming in the pavilion throughout the conference.

Additionally, on Tuesday,  May 3 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., a moderated panel discussion entitled, Decarbonized: Is there space for oil and gas in a low-carbon world?, will take place in the Energy Transition Pavilion.

The session will discuss the critical role decarbonization plays in the energy transition and highlight the technological advancements, both in development and execution, that are reducing emissions and improving the efficiency of oil and gas production and operations.

The speakers are as follows; Amy Chronis, Vice Chairman, US Oil, Gas and Chemicals Lead, Deloitte,

Guillermo Sierra, Vice President Strategic Initiatives – Energy Transition, Nabors Industries, Paul Sims, Vice President, Marketing, Schlumberger, Jane Stricker, Vice President, Energy Transition and Executive Director HETI, Greater Houston Partnership (moderator) and Nicolas Tcherniguin, Head of Offshore Technologies, Technip Energies.

said Paul Jones, Chairperson, OTC Board of Directors.

“The addition of the Energy Transition pavilion enables us to bring together cutting-edge technologies and offshore industry expertise that combined can develop the innovative solutions required to deliver the global transition to a low-carbon economy.”

The OTC is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.

Founded in 1969, OTC’s flagship conference is held annually in Houston. OTC has expanded technically and globally with the Arctic Technology Conference, OTC Brasil, and OTC Asia.
