Enyimba, Horoya Players Talk Tough Ahead of Crunch Confederation Cup Match

Nigerian champions Enyimba FC face a stern test when they face Horoya AC in their second-leg CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final match in Conakry on Sunday.

Enyimba were held 1-1 at home in the first-leg and must score in a high scoring draw or outright pick up a win against the Guinean side to punch a semi-final ticket.

Attacking Midfielder Chukwuka Onuwa believes the team know how difficult the task is and what needs to be done in the game.

‘We have been training well and also discussing the game, so we know what is at stake and how to approach the game.

‘They are a solid team at home and we don’t want to make the same errors we made in the first game. We are confident that we will do enough to get a win,’ Onuwa told brila.net.

Horoya AC are unbeaten in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup and are also the only club – in both tiers of the inter-club competitions – this season that’s yet to taste defeat.

Horoya remain the only unbeaten side in the #TotalCAFCC this season in seven games

Midfielder Bolaji Sakin says they’ll finish what they started in Aba, having studied their opponents thoroughly.

‘We got a good result from the first-leg,’ the Horoya AC Midfielder told brila.net.

‘Enyimba are a good side, but we know what to expect from them now and at home we will complete the job.’
