Etebo’s first La Liga goal not enough to end Getafe winless run

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo scored his first goal for Getafe as they shared the spoils against Eibar on Saturday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Etebo returned to the starting line up after making a late substitute appearance in Getate’s last outing against relegation-threatened Espanyol.

The Stoke City loanee broke the deadlock for his team after half an hour and it was his first goal for the club since arriving in January.

Eibar later hit on the stroke of half time, through their Brazilian import Charles Dias de Oliveira.

Etebo who has now featured in all Getate’s three games after the league restart was later replaced in the second of the game because of injury.

The game ended in a 1 – 1 draw at the end of 90 minutes and it’s another huge set back for Getafe who are hoping to make it to the next season’s Champions League.
