Everton fill Ademola Lookman’s void with £27.5 capture of Moise Kean

Out with Ademola Lookman and in with Moise Kean. That’s how Everton have conducted business this transfer window as Marco Silva looks to end the Team’s goalscoring problems.

Everton announced on Sunday, that they had completed the Italy international’s transfer, and reports are quoting a figure in the region £27.5 million.

Last month the Toffees sold Lookman to German side RB Leipzig for £22.5 million; he is one of six first team players who have been either sold or released by the club.

Meanwhile, Moise comes to the premier League off the back of a breakthrough season at Juventus where he was behind only Cristiano Ronaldo (28), Paulo Dybala (10) and Mario Mandzukic(10) in total goals scored in all competitions – 7.

He returned to Juventus in the 2018 after a season-long loan spell at Hellas Verona where he scored 4 goals in 19 league appearances.

The 19 year-old said about his move:

“I am very proud and honoured to wear the Everton shirt. I will give my best to this team.

“I was convinced to sign because Everton is a club looking to the future and so am I. I know about the size of the Club. It has big ambition and I will work very hard to help us fulfill what we want to achieve.

“I am used to winning and I want to bring this winning attitude to the team. I hope I will be very good on the field and bring the fans joy.”
