Everton wants to offload Alex Iwobi

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi is among the group of players Everton will listen to offers for this summer, according to reports.

The 24-year-old signed for the Toffees in a £34 million from Arsenal last summer, but he has failed to live up to expectations.

Iwobi only manage to score once in 25 Premier League games for Everton last season and was among the underperformed players under previous boss Marcus Silva.

The Telegraph reports that nine senior players are available to leave this summer. And the report claims that Iwobi is one of those Everton will consider bids for.

However, another report claimed Iwobi and Moise Kean remain in Ancelotti’s plans should he stay, but the Club is looking for every means to balance books after spending huge on new players and Iwobi and Keane could be used to bring in more funds.

The Telegraph adds that the Toffees will only sell Iwobi if they are offered the chance to recoup the large majority of the money that they spent on him last summer.

Iwobi was not included in Everton’s Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspurs over the weekend, despite being fully fit.
