Falode believes Falcons can surpass ’99 World Cup feat

Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aishat Falode has expressed her belief that the super Falcons might surpass the previous mark of the 1999 USA world cup team in France.

Falode in a chat with brila.net made the remark that there is a progress in the current team and she is sure the present players can overtake the previous achievements in France.
“We have seen steady progress in the team, I’m very sure with that the super Falcons will surpass quarter-finals stage in France.
“The height we have ever attained in this competition is a quarterfinal stage, Now we are hopeful and I think with this level of preparations and the global TV audience the team will have, there will be a strong performance in France,” Falode said.
The super Falcons will be playing Norway, the Korea Republic and France the host in the third tie of the world cup coming up later this year.
