Former Super Eagles midfielder Godwin Okpara has argued that there’s less pressure playing for the senior national team today than it was back in his day.
Okpara told www.Cornerstonenewsng.comthat the Eagles of his era had it bad, especially from the fans and the atmosphere inside the stadium during home games.
‘I remember how intimidating it was even for us as the home side playing especially in Lagos. The fans made you realize every game was more than just a game; they wanted to us to win all the time.
‘Looking at the current team and the climate of our football, it’s a stark difference and the pressure is less now,’ the former midfielder said.
