The Team secretary of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Aliyu Lawal has revealed that the Nigeria U20 national team suffered another delay in their return trip to Nigeria despite having been handed their return ticket by FIFA after been knocked out at the ongoing FIFA U20 world cup in Poland.
The team which was scheduled to have returned home 24hrs after her elimination from the world cup but plagued by protest over unpaid allowances stayed beyond it normal time and when finally ready to travel had the flight canceled by the airline arranged for the team due to a technical issue.
Lawal speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Flying Eagles team will, however, leave later today by noon with a connecting flight in Turkey to arrive Abuja tonight.
