Flying Eagles squeeze into next round of FIFA U-20 World after 1-1 with Ukraine

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria picked one of the four best losersticket to the quarter final of the FIFA U-20 World Cup following a 1-1 draw with Ukraine on Thursday.

The draw was enough for Ukraine to win their group and progress unbeaten. Opponents Nigeria finished third on four points, while USA finished above their African rivals in second after beating Qatar 1-0.

Danylo Sikan headed home from close range in the 30th minute to give Ukraine a 1-0 lead.
