Nigeria U20 national team player Henry Offia has stated that the Flying Eagles won’t have problems navigating their way past the group stage of the FIFA U20 world cup which commences later today in Poland with the team drawn in group D alongside Qatar, Ukraine, and the USA.
Offia speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the players have a resolve to ensure they at least get to the quarter-final stage of the competition after which they can now strategize on how they can go beyond that stage.
He stressed that getting out of the group stage is a must irrespective of their group stage opponent.
“Actually we are just looking forward to going to the quarterfinal round at least for now. We don’t care who our group stage opponents are, either Qatar or Ukraine or the USA.
Our aim and purpose, for now, we just want to get out of the group stage first which is a must and we are sure we can, so that’s all we want to do for now and we don’t care who is there in the group with us.”
The FIFA U20 world cup gets underway today and Nigeria gets her won campaign underway tomorrow against Qatar.
