Former Super Eagles player and ex-international, Friday Elanor has submitted that the match against Algeria in the AFCON semifinal on Sunday will be a 50:50 affair, even as the Algerians have star players in their team, and we also have stars in our team as well.
The Eagles are on the verge of lifting the trophy, after being absent from the last two editions, and it would be a thing of joy for the Gernot Rohr tinkered Eagles to replicate their success of 2013 in South Africa.
Speaking with brila.net, Elastic Elahor, as he is often fondly called, also tasked the players to work hard during the game, as it would not be an easy fixture.
“They have superstars in their team, and we also have superstars. I don’t think we should worry about them, they should be the ones worried about us”.
“It’s going to be a 50:50 game, and we have to put our house in order, and we have to work very hard. It’s not going to be an easy match, but at the end of the day, we will be victorious”.
