Ex Nigeria international Garba Lawal has stated that the inclusion of Heracles forward Cyriel Dessers will help boost the Super Eagles attacking area.
Lawal stated this after the current Eredivisie top scorer was included in coach Gernot Rohr’s 24 man list of invited players for the double header AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Lawal hailed the invitation and described the player as one with huge potentials to have been leading the Dutch topflight scorers chart with 15 goals scored and 5 assists in the colours of a small side like Heracles.
He added that his invitation is extra quality on the bench of Nigeria which ever way it comes.
“That shows how good he works, Heracles in Holland nobody is talking about Heracles, they are a small team.
“So for someone playing well for them in the Eredivisie scoring 15 goals for Heracles that shows he is a fantastic player no doubt about that. Really he is going to help us, what makes a team is when you have a good bench.”
