Going down the Wire! NPFL Super 6 living up to Expectations – Abdallah

Kano Pillars and Enyimba are going neck to neck in the NPFL Super 6 after three round of matches, separated by a point.

The top two also have the chasing pack keeping up the pace, but it all adds to the excitement Enyimba Head Coach Usman Abdallah believes.

Pillars and Enyimba will return later on Monday as they face Rangers and FC Ifeanyi Ubah respectively, in battles that could potentially decide which city the title ends up.

Reflecting on the the competition, Abdallah told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat the playoff format has actually lived up to expectation.

“The competition is unpredictable. We had a good result against Rangers and everybody though we would walk over Pillars but we lost, woefully. Look at Rangers and Akwa playing a six-goal thriller and nobody saw that coming,”Abdallah told brila.net.

“I predicted it was going to be a different scenario in the Super 6, and it is proving to be. Looking at the race for the title, it is still open, anything can happen and that is the interesting part.

“I believe this race will go down the wire, which is very interesting and it has lived up to the expectation.”
