Captain of newly promoted NPFL side Gombe United Alhassan Yusuf is relishing his side’s return to the topflight and is confident they can stun the more established sides.
Gombe United picked one of four promotion spots following a goalless draw against Kada city on Wednesday.
Alhassan Yusuf told www.brila.net that they are happy for achieving the primary target of securing promotion back to the NPFL.
He thereafter reaffirmed the side’s readiness to compete in the Premier league but expects the state Government to reward the team for the promotion.
Gombe United joined Insurance of Benin, Remo Stars and Kada City as the promoted sides.
