Guingamp pens emotional goodbye message to departing striker Oparanozie

French side En Avant Guingamp has thanked Super Falcons star Desire Oparanozie for her service for the last six years.

The Nigerian striker confirmed earlier on Monday in a video posted on her social media handle that she won’t be continuing with the team for next season and will be seeking new adventures.

“After six years of playing for Guingamp, I won’t be continuing with them for the next season and I will be starting a new chapter,” she said through her social media handle.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone at the club, the board members, the coaching crew, my teammates, the staff, and most importantly the fans for the amazing years.” She said in the video.

Oparanozie’s contract expired at the end of just-concluded season and she decided not to renew with the club, which means she’s free to join any team of her choice ahead of ahead next season.

The club has now thanked the former Wolfsburg and Bayelsa Queens forward for her selfless service for the past six years and wish her all the best.

“We’ll miss you @oparanozie9 all the best, Thanks for you smile and all these amazing goals  ⚽️🙏🖤” “Good luck for your new challenge 🔜” the club posted on their social media handle.
