Handball: Nigeria Ready For Japanese Test

Nigeria handball team takes on Japan on Wednesday with a chance to finish 17th place at the ongoing 2019 IHF Men’s Junior World Cup in Spain up for grabs.

The handball match between Nigeria and their Japanese counterparts will take place at the Complejo Deportivo de As Travesas Sports Hall, Vigo Wednesday afternoon.

Nigeria defeated Australia 35-21 to win her first match at the world cup, before losing to Sweden, Egypt, France, and South Korea in subsequent matches.

However, one of Nigeria key players, Mohammed Anas said he is ready for the clash against the Japanese.

He said, “All I want is for us to win the game against Japan which will enable us to fight for the 17th position. We have made a positive impact in Spain and we promise to do our best when the opportunity comes calling again”.

He further said, “Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win. I want Nigeria to remember our face; I am ready for war against Japan”.
