IFAB will bring in new officiating laws post Covid-19, says Calistus Chukwujekwu

FIFA and CAF referee instructor in Nigeria Calistus Chukwujekwu has stated that the laws of officiating will change after the COVID-19 eventually disappear from the surface of the earth.

Chukwujekwu in an exclusive chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsays that it is going to be a whole lot of work for the referees because the International Football Association Board(IFAB), are going to twist the laws of the game to accommodate the new lifestyle the virus has brought.
“IFAB had instructed that after the Covid-19, anybody that wants to check the new laws of the game, in the other way round can still continue with the season and finish it before going into the newly amended laws.”
“I think the NFF should come out with a statement to inform everyone of the change in the rules of the game, but that would require a whole lot on the referees,’ He said.
“It would require that they would have to pass through seminars to get acquainted with the proper interpretation.
